About Oshkosh

Oshkosh first established in 1917 and originally operated under the name Wisconsin Duplex Auto Company. Their first products consisted of severe-duty four-wheel-drive trucks that are currently referred to as the “Old Betsy”. This model quickly helped the company develop and gain recognition, and Oshkosh soon after began developing new vehicles such as the Model B, Model F, Model TR, aircraft tow tractors, and more. In 1976, Oshlosh worked on an US military contract to develop M911 heavy equipment transporters, marking the beginning of Oshkosh’s long list of US Army contracts. In the present, Oshkosh continues to produce a wide variety of vehicles that are used in military, emergency, and commercial applications.
