About Ricoh

Ricoh was first established in 1936 when Rikagaku Kogyo’s sensitized paper division decided to break off from the company and become Riken Kankoshi Co. In 1950, Ricoh revolutionized Japan’s camera market after introducing belt conveyors for their manufacturing processes. With this technology, manufacturers were able to make cameras much more affordable for consumers. In 1955, Ricoh unveiled their office copier, bringing office automation to Japan.
