About Korry Electronics Co.

Korry Electronics Co. is an American manufacturer of aircraft parts such as switches, indicators, control and display systems, switch panels, displays, and controls. The company was founded in 1937 by Boris Korry in the northwest United States, a budding aviation hotspot. The company introduced its first product, a warning lamp indicator, a year later. In the 1940s, Korry contributed to the allied war effort by ramping up production of indicators for the B-17 and B-29 bomber aircraft. After the war, a boom in the commercial aviation industry saw the company increase to over 100 employees. In the 1960s, the first Korry catalog was published as the product line continued to grow. At this point, virtually all US-built aircraft had Korry products on them.

In the 1970s, the Korry 496 garter spring technology, a high performance switch panel, was introduced - the first of such products in the commercial aviation industry. The 1980s saw the release of the 433/434 and 427/428 series switches and annunciators were released. The company produced its first display in the 1990s, the Korry Display Module (KDM). In the 21st century, Korry engineered the first flight-deck control panel with embedded software for the Boeing 787, as well as the first touchscreen overhead control panel for the Gulfstream G500/600. The company continues to grow and innovate today.
